How to get a @gmail.com (.co.uk) account?
Did you know that having a @googlemail.com account is similar to having @gmail.com account?

so if your email address is: billgates@googlemail.com

you also get: billgates@gmail.com

So bottomline is @gmail.com = @googlemail.com!

Read this article:

I've tested it in my Gmail account it really works!

Although I'm not sure if this works in the UK, I read an article regarding a "Gmail" trademark disputes with some company there.

No harm in trying though. ;-)
Reply:I'm not sure what you're asking. @gmail.com is a basic gmail account. The co.uk would be a purchased domain.

If you want gmail, just click (I believe it's) Preferences at the right end of the search bar. (Won't work for me any more, as I already have a gmail account.

If you want to have a gmail account on a purchased domain, then it's rather more complicated. First, register a domain name: about $6 to $7 to $8 per year, depending upon the registrar you use. Then, get a gmail account, as described above. Then, under that gmail account, set up Google Apps for Your Domain and set it up for the domain name you registered. Then, on the registrar's control panel for the domain name you registered, set up MX records to route the email to the Google Apps for Your Domain. Voila...you'll have gmail for anything@yourdomain.co.uk (assuming you registered a domain of the name mydomain.co.uk)

Got all that?
Reply:I think you can't
