Formatting the flashdrive might not be an option if is is a U3-capable (like SanDisk Cruzer Titanium). Once you format it, it loses U3 features, and you will not be able to restore it.

You can remove the virus on any PC with Internet connection, it doesn't necessarily need to have anti-virus installed. Choose a free online virus scan from http://hubpages.com/hub/Top-Free-Online-... - apart from Kaspersky (which doesn't remove infections), each scanner will do the job. Though my favorites are Housecall and BitDefender.

Also, if your USB drive is U3, probably it has antivirus already installed, like Avast! So just run it, update, and scan the drive itself. It won't take more than a couple of minutes.
Reply:Get a really good anti virus program like NOD32 or if you don't feel like spending, get AVG it's the best anti virus program you could get for free. Install which ever and select which directory you want it to scan, then it should pick up something if you have a virus or not... If it doesn't work still then just reformat the whole drive.. If you have questions still, email me at squad22345@gmail.com
Reply:format drive, if u dont have imp files, else scan with antivirus software
Reply:put the drive in a computer with a really good anti-virus and tell the anti-virus program to run on the entire system including that drive.
